National Service Scheme

Introduction:

The National Service Scheme launched in TSWRDCW WARANGAL EAST in the year 2016 with a meager strength. It has been active ever since its inception in matters of social and community service and rural reconstruction activities. TSWRDCW WARANGAL EAST participated in various programmes organized by the Kakatiya NSS unit during these years volunteers participated in various activities such as literacy programs, health camps, environmental conservation, and awareness campaigns. The NSS aims to develop the personality and character of the youth through community service while also addressing societal issues which enable them to understand the changing concept and function of education from mere dissemination of theoretical knowledge to the assumption of responsibilities for socio-economic development of the society.

The Volunteers are actively participating in constructive and productive community programmes, various Awareness Drives, Shramadan, Social reforms, Communal Harmony, Creation of Community Assets, Relief Work, Environmental Protection, Literacy Programmes, Health Education Campaign, Sapling Plantation, Skill Development Training Programme and Public Health Issues and a unique Workshop on Teenage Temptations, Tension and Stress free- examinations and Self Defense Training to Girl Volunteers. The NSS Unit of the college has also taken up many extension and outreach activities on and off-campus. They actively participated in yoga camps, awareness rallies, government initiatives like Swachh Bharat, Swachh Gurukul, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, Meri Matti Meri Desh, Haritha Haaram-tree plantation, Clean India programme, and volunteers of TSWRDC(W) conducted Pillala Kosam programs at other Institutes.
